NCMIC Holds Employee Retreat
On Friday, April 7, NCMIC hosted the annual employee retreat onsite in rooms 122/123. Joshua Barr from Raising the Barr spoke on the topic of unconscious bias and the impact it has in the workplace.
David Siebert presented the Dr. Wolfson Business Acumen Award to AJ Simpson and the Agency team, while Chick Herbert announced Pat Desenberg as the winner of the Dr. Sportelli Humanitarian Award.
The spring party followed the retreat that evening at the Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines.

Quarterly Review Updates
In response to feedback regarding the timing and effectiveness of quarterly reviews we have adjusted the frequency for 2023. Please see below for schedule:
Q1/Q2 reviews will now be pushed out the week of June 19 (due July 31).
Q3 review will now be pushed out the week of September 18 (due October 31).
Year-end review will now be pushed out the week of December 11 (due dates will mirror due dates for merit and bonus – February 2024).
Even though formal frequency has been reduced please continue to have open, transparent and productive conversations as needed and appropriate for you and your manager.
