HR News You Can Use

Employee Breakroom Update

Starting Jan. 1, 2023, NCMIC will be purchasing and stocking the breakroom with snack items that will be free for staff. There will be a variety of foods geared more toward our NCMIC FIT strategies. We ask that you be mindful of what you are taking. Once the items run out, they will be gone until the next restock. There will also be a new beverage vending machine. The items in the vending machine will be for purchase

Please see below for information regarding the breakroom for the remainder of 2022:

  • Items in the breakroom will not be restocked from Dec. 1-31. Once items are gone, they are gone. This includes the free beverage dispenser.

  • If you have money left on your account, please use before year end. If you do not use it, you will be reimbursed.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask anyone in HR.

The Dog Days of NCMIC

Thanks to all who keep signing up top bring their dogs to work on Bring Your Dog to Work Day. Employees were visited in November by Sabrina Cox’s aussiedoodle, Cooper, and Molly O’ Neill’s mini goldendoodle, Oliver. In December, folks met Patrick McCormick’s pug, Grady; Ahmed Ibrahim’s rescue pup, Dakota; and Ben Olsasky’s dachsund, Emma (not pictured).

The new year will bring more dog days at NCMIC. Remember, if you’d like to bring your dog to a future dog day, sign up is required in advance and only three dogs are allowed onsite at a time.

NCMIC’s 2022 Children’s Holiday Party

The annual NCMIC children’s holiday party was held on Thursday, Dec. 15. Employees brought their kids/grandkids of all ages for fun activities, tasty treats, games and Santa Claus himself!

Check out a few of the pictures from this fun, holiday celebration.

Caroling for Good Cause

After a two-year break, caroling was back just in time for the 2022 holiday. Several NCMIC employees sang Christmas carols to residents of six local nursing homes on Monday, Dec. 19. Rumor has it that their harmonies put them all on the nice list this year.
