HR News You Can Use

Unconscious Bias Training

As mentioned in late 2022, all employees will attend a workshop on unconscious bias training. This training will be done by Joshua Barr and, in order to increase its efficacy, we will have no more than 35 people attend the training at a time. Please note: All employees have been scheduled for a time slot. If you did not receive an invitation, please contact Sheena Mahan.

Here’s what you can expect from this training: The purpose of this workshop is to understand how unconscious biases are formed and learn how we can challenge our own biases when they have a detrimental effect on our desired outcomes. The training will also introduce the basic concepts and topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion and their relationship with unconscious bias in the workplace. Attendees will explore how unconscious attitudes and socializations impact our decisions and the interactions we have with one another.
