Bonus Pay 401k Changes
With the bonus payment coming up on 03/01, this is all staff reminder that bonus is 401k eligible.
If you would like to make changes to your 401k before the bonus payment, please see the timeline below:
Bonus pay: Please make changes to your Fidelity account starting Tuesday, Feb. 20 and no later than Thursday, Feb. 22. Any changes made before Feb. 20 will reflect on your Feb. 23 pay.
For March 8 regular pay: If you made changes and are wanting to change back, please do so between Tuesday, Feb. 27 and Friday, March 1.
Changes can/should be made through Fidelity’s website.

February is Black History Month
February is Black History Month—a time dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contributions and enduring legacy of Black individuals throughout history.
Black History Month provides us with an opportunity to deepen our understanding and appreciation of Black history and culture. Through the month of February, HR will be sending out emails and utilizing the TVs around the building to help educate and inform NCMIC employees.
Here are a few ways you can still celebrate Black History Month in Des Moines:
Celebrate Great African American Scientists Scavenger Hunt
When: Through Feb. 29
Where: Urbandale Public Library, 3520 86th St., Urbandale
Drop into the Urbandale Public Library and track down nine themed pictures hidden throughout the children's area.
Tour the Jordan House
Where: The Jordan House, 2001 Fuller Road, West Des Moines
The oldest house in West Des Moines, and one of the oldest in Polk County, the Jordan House served as a stop for the Underground Railroad. Book a tour of the Jordan House.
Support Black-owned businesses, restaurants
Something you can do during Black History Month and any month is support Black-owned businesses. Take a look at the Black Iowa Business Directory and the Black-owned restaurant list from Catch Des Moines to see what businesses you can support this month and beyond.
If you attend one of these events, please share photos of your experience. We will showcase them on our internal TVs.
Mark Your Calendars for the Biannual Update
The next Biannual Update will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 9:30-11 a.m. in rooms 122/123.
Members of our SMT will be answering questions submitted by employees in the boxes set up in the canteens.
