NCMIC Fit Kicks Off 2024 Contest

The 2024 NCMIC Fit program kicks off this week with a special opening ceremony in celebration of its new Olympic theme.

This year’s NCMIC Fit contest will run March 1-Dec. 1. Anyone can participate and there’s no signup needed. There will be both a male and female winner, as well as a dynamic duo. Success stories are due to HR by Dec. 1 and entries must contain benchmarks of 3/8 dimensions of wellness (emotional, physical, occupational, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental and financial.)

All stories will be anonymous to the judges (HR will know who submitted what story but will NOT be a part of voting) and the winners will be chosen by a select group of NCMIC employees. The male and female individual winners will each receive $3,000 and each member of the dynamic duo will each receive $1,500.

Additionally, there’s a goal board on the first floor where employees can post their goals to some short-term progress. Goals can be anonymous, but once you achieve your goal, you can turn it in to HR and win a $75 Amazon gift card.

The winners of the 2023 NCMIC Fit contest were: Chima Igbokwe (male), Cindy Perry (female) and Diane Miller & Rebecca Strait (Dynamic Duo). Amber Caravan was the 2023 goal board winner.

To go along with the Olympic theme, NCMIC Fit organizers are encouraging employees to design a special flag representing their departments. These flags will be on display at the NCMIC Fit opening ceremony on Thursday.

There are many more details to come. Remember to show up to the 2024 NCMIC Fit Opening Ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in conference rooms 122/123. Hope to see you there!
