NCMIC Christmas Carolers Spread Christmas Cheer

The NCMIC Carolers, led by Andy Pratt, made the rounds to several nursing homes singing Christmas carols and spreading Christmas cheer for the residents on Tuesday, Dec. 19. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID, the carolers made their return in 2022 and were excited to do it again in 2023. Thanks for all you do to lift the holiday spirit, Carolers!

NCMIC Hosts Big Brothers Big Sisters Holiday Party

We held our annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Holiday Party on Wednesday, Dec. 20. According to organizer Nicky Carpenter, “This is something the NCMIC Bigs look forward to hosting each year! We bring the kids onsite for our normal Workplace Mentoring Program, but on this day, we make it a fun day just spending time together. We brought in pizza and cupcakes and this year we had a birthday cake also to celebrate a Littles’ birthday. We played games, had holiday music playing and gave our littles gifts. I think we sent the kids into break feeling special!”

Bring Your Dog to Work Days Warm Things Up in January

If there’s one thing that Bring Your Dog to Work Day does for employees at NCMIC, it’s warming their hearts. And January was no exception.

On Jan. 11, we met Magda Lippold’s pup, Max (left) and Ahmed Ibrahim’s furry pal, Dakota (right). Both were excited to meet their NCMIC coworkers.

Reminder, you must sign up in HR to bring your dog to work. Spots are first come first serve, and you’re asked to limit it to one spot at a time. If there are additional spots open, HR will send out a communication to all staff. The 2024 dates are now posted and ready for sign up! Check out this month’s HR News You Can Use for updates on the application.
