Vision, Mission & Values Goes Hawaiian
The Vision, Mission & Values Carnival is back with a new twist this year. NCMIC is hosting a luau on the back patio on Thursday, June 22 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
The Vision, Mission & Values Carnival is an annual event celebrating NCMIC’s employees and the core values that have made the company what it is today - integrity, customer service, respect, trust, caring, innovation and expertise.
This year’s luau-themed event will feature food, drink, activities, a photo booth and DJ Tyrone Tyler from VIP Iowa spinning the hits. There will be yard games—like cornhole and Connect Four—as well as a limbo contest where the winner could take home a $50 gift card. There will be door prizes, drawn at random, and you must be present to win.
To go along with the luau theme, Hawaiian attire is highly encouraged (but not required). There will be a Best Dressed contest where employees can vote for their favorite outfit with the winner taking home a smart watch. If you’re interested in participating in the contest, you’re asked to sign up by the EOD today (6/20).
One of the hallmarks of the Vision, Mission & Values event is the naming of the VMV Hero. Each year the award goes to a person or department, that has received the highest number of Vision, Mission & Values awards throughout the year. Last year’s winner was Matt Harris. The 2021 winner was Admin Services. The winners exemplify what it means to truly live NCMIC’s core values.
“The intention of the luau is to gather and celebrate NCMIC ‘s core values, and to show our new hires, and everyone around the building how we work at NCMIC. It’s nice to be able to get everyone together in-person, too,” said Molly O’Neill.
